Hermiston School District to Organize Fifth Graders’ Outdoor School Trips; Chaperones Urgently Needed
Hermiston, Oregon – The Hermiston School District has announced an exciting opportunity for fifth-grade students to embark on Outdoor School trips, starting from Monday, September 18th. This experiential learning program aims to provide students with a unique understanding of nature and the environment. The first school to participate in the Outdoor School program will be West Park Elementary, scheduled for September 18th-20th. Following that, Desert View Elementary will embark on their adventure from September 20th-22nd, succeeded by Highland Hills Elementary from September 25th-27th. Loma Vista Elementary will then have the opportunity to explore nature’s wonders from September 27th-29th. The penultimate school to partake in this year’s Outdoor School trips will be Rocky Heights Elementary, scheduled for October 2nd-4th. Lastly, Sunset Elementary will conclude the program from October 4th-6th.
The district is still actively seeking adult chaperones to support and supervise students during their nights away from home.
