Several districts of Uttar Pradesh are experiencing an intense heatwave, with the mercury rising above 40 degrees Celsius in most divisions, according to the state weather office. The MeT has issued a heatwave warning for 22 districts of the state including Prayagraj, Banda, Varanasi, and Chitrakoot, to name a few. Jhansi reported the highest temperature at 45.6 degrees Celsius, followed by Prayagraj at 45.1 degrees Celsius, and Kanpur at 44.1 degrees Celsius. The temperature in Varanasi and Hamirpur was recorded at 43.2 degrees Celsius. The Met has advised the people to be cautious and avoid going outside during the hottest part of the day. The weatherman has forecast intense heat in the coming three days, after which the temperature is expected to drop slightly in some areas.
