Former Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy made a bold claim on Wednesday, stating that he possessed documents related to corruption charges against the government. He accused the Congress party of turning the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) into a corruption management office, highlighting what he called the cash for posting phenomenon as the party’s sixth guarantee.
In a tweet, Kumaraswamy expressed the disillusionment of the people of Karnataka, as they had believed that the CMO represented the Chief Minister’s Office, only to realize that it had become a center for corruption instead. He attached a transfer order and a subsequent cancellation of the same order, questioning the motives behind the allocation of three letters from the Chief Minister for one Air Conditioning (AC) post. He raised suspicions about whether the money involved in such transactions was being directed towards party coffers or the YST hundi.
Outside the Vidhana Soudha, Kumaraswamy captured attention by flashing a pen drive containing the alleged documents. He confidently stated that he would release them at the appropriate time to reveal the truth.
Additionally, Kumaraswamy criticized plans for tunnel road connectivity and cautioned the Congress party against constructing what he called a mausoleum for Bengaluru.
