HDFC Bank, the leading private sector bank in India, has recently unveiled its advanced loan hub in Bhubaneswar, signaling its commitment to supporting economic growth and women empowerment in the region. The state-of-the-art HDFC Bank Loan Centre, located in Infocity, was inaugurated by Arun Bothra, IPS, Addl DG, Crime branch. This new center is dedicated to fostering the economic and social progress of the State of Odisha, offering digital loans to customers in the region.
With a team of 600 employees, this ultra-modern loan hub is equipped to provide efficient and convenient services to customers round the clock. In addition to its primary function of offering loans, the center also operates a 24-hour CTS Clearing service for five states in India. Moreover, HDFC Bank runs its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) wing, Parivartan Skilling Centre, from this premises. Parivartan Skilling Centre focuses on empowering individuals through various skill-building programs, particularly in Odisha.
During the inauguration ceremony, a new trade called ABT (Assistant Beauty Therapist) was introduced under the bank’s CSR Parivartan initiative for the fiscal year 2023-24. HDFC Bank aims to train 240 young girls and women, aged between 18 and 32, in the ABT trade. These trainees will subsequently become women entrepreneurs, offering door-to-door beauty and wellness services, including Mehendi and Nail Art. Currently, 60 young girls and women have already received training and are expected to secure placements soon. Shri Bothra personally interacted with these trainees during the event, appreciating HDFC Bank’s commitment to CSR initiatives, MSME loans, financial inclusion, and awareness campaigns about cyber frauds among citizens, students, and different offices in Odisha.
The establishment of this loan hub is a milestone for HDFC Bank and reflects the institution’s dedication to aiding the comprehensive development of the state while empowering women. Sanjay Biswal, the General Manager of CRUT, along with the Loan Heads and Operations Head of HDFC Bank, were also present at the inauguration ceremony, further highlighting the significance of this occasion.
