German Regtech Hawk AI has appointed Robin Lee as the new General Manager for its Asia-Pacific (APAC) operations. Lee, who has extensive experience in regulatory technology and anti-financial crime, previously worked at Thomson Reuters, LSEG, Refinitiv, and Napier Technologies. He spearheaded the APAC division at Napier Technologies and currently serves as the Vice-Chair of the APAC Chapter of the Global Coalition to Fight Financial Crime and as the Global Fintech Liaison for the US Department of Justice’s Fintech Sector Public Dialogue. Lee expressed his excitement about joining Hawk AI, praising the company’s explainable AI technology and integrated approach to tackling financial crime. Hawk AI focuses on using explainable AI for transaction monitoring and fraud prevention, offering financial institutions a way to reduce false positives. The company’s modular solution can enhance or replace traditional rules-based systems, providing real-time accuracy and reduced noise. Since its establishment in 2018, Hawk AI has expanded globally and is currently monitoring billions of transactions worldwide.
