Haryana Congress Legislature Party Passes Resolution Condemning Atrocities on Wrestlers

The Haryana Congress Legislature party has passed a resolution condemning the atrocities committed against protesting wrestlers by the BJP government, according to a statement. The resolution was passed during a meeting held at the Congress headquarters in Chandigarh. Senior Congress leaders including Shaktisinh Gohil, Bhupinder Singh Hooda and Udai Bhan told reporters that the CLP discussed the current political situation of the state and the upcoming programmes of the party. The resolution condemned the government’s negligence towards the protesters and stated that the Congress stands firmly with the wrestlers of the country. The wrestlers have been protesting against BJP MP and Wrestling Federation of India chief, Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh, who they allege sexually harassed women grapplers.
