Haryana is committed to aiding the overall development of the country, according to Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar. Khattar asserted that the state is striving to fulfill Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s aim of making the nation an economically strong $5 trillion economy by 2024. At the eighth Governing Council meeting of Niti Aayog, chaired by Modi, Khattar spoke of the state’s initiatives to ensure similar development, with the mantra of ‘Haryana Ek-Haryanvi Ek.’
Under Modi’s leadership, India has grown in power, prosperity, and overall empowerment. During his tenure, the Haryana government has been following central initiatives for over eight years. They are also making sure that those of all sections of society are covered with a variety of schemes. In 2017, Haryana was the first state of the country to launch its Vision Document-2030.
Niti Aayog provides an assessment of states following continuous reforms, and according to them, the score of sustainable development goals in Haryana has improved from 57 to 67. The government is focusing on gender equality, eliminating hunger and anaemia, improving quality education, and economic and climate change. It has also introduced the Parivar Pehchan Patra scheme to ensure that the benefits of government-led initiatives are received by the people, without having to visit offices.
Besides, more than 44,000 elderly people and 81,000 persons with disabilities have been provided with automated pension benefits. Additionally, 75 lakh CHIRAYU health cards have been issued under the Ayushman and CHIRAYU Yojana, and 7 lakh poor people have been provided with health checkups under the Nirogi Haryana Yojana. Furthermore, the government has launched various water conservation initiatives in order to meet PM Modi’s vision of increased water connectivity.
