The Gujarat Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) has arrested three men from Srinagar and a woman from Surat, who were allegedly linked to the international terror outfit Islamic State of Khorasan Province (ISKP). Another Kashmiri resident is said to be at large and is part of the terror module. The ATS believes that the four were attempting to make their way to Afghanistan with the intention of fighting for the group. According to the Director General of Police, Vikas Sahay, the three men arrested in Porbandar, identified as Ubed Nasir Mir, Hanan Hayat Shol, and Mohammad Hajim Shah, had been directed by their handler, Abu Hamza, to reach Porbandar and then use a fishing boat to cross the International Maritime Boundary Line and reach Afghanistan via Iran. The individuals had been provided with fake passports for Afghanistan and other related documents. The ATS searched their cloud storage and found items such as pictures with the ISKP banner, videos of a leader, audio clips of their leader amongst other items. The four persons linked to the terror outfit have been booked under the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act (UAPA) and investigations are underway.
