Anil Chalamalasetty, CEO of Greenko, has been honored with a Doctor of Science degree (Honoris Causa) by Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU) for his contributions to environmental sustainability and energy transition. The recognition was presented to him on May 31 at the ninth convocation of the university. Chalamalasetty has over 25 years of experience in entrepreneurship and has played a key role in developing over 10% of India’s renewable energy capacity. Moreover, he positioned Andhra Pradesh as the capital for energy storage by catalyzing the renewable energy storage sector. His vision has played a significant role in meeting India’s sustainability targets.
