Greenfuel Sports Arena Ready to Host Home Matches After Successful Re-Development

Greenfuel Sports Arena, the home stadium of Castle Lager Premier Soccer League side Greenfuel, is set to host its next home match following the completion of re-development work on the facility. The stadium, located in Chisumbanje, can accommodate around 5,000 spectators.

After an inspection by the Zifa First Instance Board, the team was advised to address a few outstanding areas, including the installation of a scoreboard, signage, additional dugouts, and shower cubicles in the dressing rooms. Greenfuel is confident that they have successfully addressed these areas ahead of another inspection by the FIB within the next week.

With the re-development work completed, Greenfuel will be able to host their next visitors, fellow newcomers Sheasham, at their own backyard next week. This is a significant milestone for the team, as they have been playing their home matches at Gibbo in Triangle since the beginning of the season.

Greenfuel Chairman Fredson Moyo expressed his satisfaction with the progress made at the stadium, expressing hope that the venue will pass the final homologation test. Moyo stated, Greenfuel Football Club remains committed to bringing top-flight league football action to Chisumbanje under Chipinge district, and to this end, we have worked round the clock to ensure that the Greenfuel Sports Arena complies with the required standards.

The Greenfuel Sports Arena has been undergoing improvements since the initial inspection in June. The FIB recommended the installation of scoreboards, signage, additional dugouts, and shower cubicles. The team has diligently attended to these areas, and they are confident that they will be fully completed by the upcoming inspection.

This progress is especially important for Greenfuel as they aim to provide their fans with the opportunity to watch their home matches in their own stadium. The team has had to play their home games away from Chisumbanje, which has undoubtedly been a challenge for both the players and the supporters.

Greenfuel’s upcoming match against Manica Diamonds will still be held at Gibbo, where Manica Diamonds has been hosting their home games since their base in Mutare was also unavailable. However, once the final inspection of the Greenfuel Sports Arena is successfully completed, the team will finally be able to return home and create a new look stadium for their fans to enjoy.

In conclusion, Greenfuel Sports Arena is ready to host home matches after undergoing successful re-development. The team has addressed all the recommended improvements, and they eagerly anticipate the final inspection to officially reopen their home stadium. This development marks an important step for Greenfuel as they strive to bring top-quality football action to the Chisumbanje community.
