The government of Pakistan has organised a special Hajj flight exclusively for parliamentarians. Federal Minister of Finance Ishaq Dar confirmed the news in an address to the National Assembly on Saturday. It is understood that Saudi authorities were not allowing flights for Hajj at this time, but the government decided to make an exception for the parliamentarians. Dar also encouraged his colleagues to pray during their pilgrimage, asking them to seek Allah’s blessings to safeguard Pakistan from current challenges and put the country on the path to progress and prosperity.

The religious affairs minister had refused to give VIP Hajj facilities to members of parliament earlier this year. He said that the same facilities available to other pilgrims would be available to MPs, and that no one, including ministers and parliamentarians, would receive free Hajj services. They would also stay in tents or similar accommodations with ordinary pilgrims.

The dedicated flight organised for parliamentarians will facilitate their participation in the Day of Arafah, which is an important day in the Islamic calendar. This move by the government has been seen as a way of demonstrating its commitment to the religious duties of parliamentarians, and the importance of Hajj in the Islamic faith.

This news comes at a time when Pakistan is facing various challenges, both internally and internationally. The government’s decision to arrange a special Hajj flight for parliamentarians is a way of demonstrating its solidarity with the Muslim community and its commitment to working towards a better future for the country. The gesture is also intended to show that the government is taking steps to ensure that the religious needs of its citizens are being met.

Overall, this new development is a sign of Pakistan’s commitment to its citizens and to the Muslim community as a whole. The fact that the government is making special arrangements for parliamentarians to participate in Hajj highlights the importance of this pilgrimage in the Islamic faith and the role it plays in the lives of Muslims around the world. As the country faces various challenges, it is important to remember the values and principles that form the foundation of Pakistani society.
