Google has announced the commencement of its application process for the eighth batch of its startup accelerator program in India. The program aims to support and nurture Indian startups that are focused on harnessing the potential of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML). The three-month accelerator program, called Google for Startups Accelerator (GFSA), offers Indian tech startups leveraging AI/ML an opportunity to benefit from Google’s resources, products, and expertise.

The upcoming batch of the Google for Startups Accelerator will focus on AI-first startups based in India, operating across diverse sectors, aiming to address complex challenges within their industries. Applications for the program will remain open until August 22. Eligible startups should be at the Seed to Series A stages and must have AI integrated into their core solution or product, including generative AI.

Selected startups will receive hands-on mentorship and training in areas such as product development, design, growth, and leadership. The program will conclude with a Demo Day, providing startups with visibility and connection opportunities within the ecosystem. Additionally, participants can continue to receive support through the Google for Startups alumni network after the program’s completion.

This will be the eighth batch of the Google for Startups Accelerator program in India. The previous batch, which commenced in June 2023, saw the participation of 20 Seed to Series A startups. These startups have been engaged in mentorship sessions and have received guidance from Google teams to address their technical, product, and business challenges.

Google’s commitment to nurturing the startup ecosystem in India showcases its dedication to fostering innovation and supporting Indian entrepreneurs. By leveraging AI and ML technologies, these startups have the potential to make a significant impact across various industries and solve complex problems.

The Google for Startups Accelerator program not only provides invaluable resources and mentorship but also offers an opportunity for startups to connect with the wider community and build lasting relationships. As the application process begins for the eighth batch, Indian AI-first startups can seize this chance to unlock their potential and drive innovation in the country’s startup ecosystem.

In conclusion, Google’s accelerator program presents a unique opportunity for Indian startups to leverage the power of AI and ML, with the aim of solving industry challenges and driving innovation. By offering mentorship and access to Google’s extensive resources, this program has the potential to create a significant impact on the Indian startup ecosystem. Startups in India are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity by applying before the deadline.
