Google has recently released its latest AI-powered chatbot, called Bard, which is comparable to other chatbots like ChatGPT and Bing AI. Despite being in beta mode, the model has been able to produce coherent and contextually relevant responses to queries.
However, Bard’s launch wasn’t without hiccups as it answered a prompt incorrectly during Google’s I/O event. While the AI model offers some unique features, there are still some essential features lacking when compared to ChatGPT, which is backed by Microsoft.
Bard’s interface is sleek and bright, but it doesn’t include some of the features available in ChatGPT, such as conversation history. However, Bard offers integration with Alexa and Google Assistant, a feature missing in other chatbots. One can also edit previous questions and resume the conversation from any point. Furthermore, there’s a button to search the response through Google’s search engine.
While Bard’s tone is human-like and often apologetic, its response time is slightly slower compared to ChatGPT and Bing AI. Its responses to questions on history essays and political leaders were interesting, offering evidence to support its stance and identifying key players around the world.
Despite its initial flaws, Bard holds a promising future as Google continues to develop and enhance the chatbot. However, users need to be aware that Google is currently recording all user data, including edited prompts made during the conversations.
Like ChatGPT, Bard allows users to copy responses and share them via Gmail or Google Documents. It’s important to note that the chatbot is still in beta mode, and Google is working to make the chatbot faster and better at responding to queries, which is certainly something to look forward to in the future.
