The owner of a West Norfolk golf course is bringing a touch of Formula 1 (F1) to the sport. Dave Freeman, the owner of Middleton Hall Golf Club, spent many years as a chef catering for F1 drivers. Now, he has renamed several holes on the course after famous drivers, giving the club an F1 feel. Because of my background, we renamed all the holes after drivers, Dave said. The first tee is now called Lights Out, and other holes are named after drivers such as Alonso, Schumacher, and Verstappen. Dave’s past experience catering for F1 teams included cooking for names like Tyrrell, Jordan, and McLaren. He even developed a reputation for his sushi, which F1 drivers like Michael Schumacher enjoyed. Overall, Dave’s passion for motorsport has now blended into his love for golf, giving West Norfolk golfers a unique experience on the course.
