Goa’s 23-member squad, including 22 special athletes, 7 coaches, and a staff member, are all set to represent India at the Special Olympics World Summer Games in Berlin from June 17 to 25. The Indian participants will compete in various disciplines, including floorball, badminton, cycling, and running. They were given an official farewell by Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant, Minister for Social Welfare Subhash Faldesai, and other state dignitaries. The Chief Minister emphasized the government’s commitment to inclusive development and provided T-shirts to the team. Minister Faldesai congratulated the team and affirmed the government’s dedication to the welfare of special individuals. The squad is set to leave for Delhi on June 7 before heading to Berlin.
