Go First, the crisis-hit private Indian airline, has extended flight cancellations until Sunday due to operational reasons. The airline has been extending cancellations for some time and is yet to issue refunds to affected customers. The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has issued a show cause notice to Go First for its sudden cancellations and asked for a comprehensive plan to revive operations, including details on available operational planes and pilots. The airline, owned by the Wadia Group, has filed for voluntary insolvency proceedings blaming US-based engine manufacturer Pratt & Whitney for its financial issues. IndiGo, another private Indian airline, recently ordered 500 A320 aircraft from Airbus.
