Glo Introduces Data Roaming Packages for Hajj Pilgrims

Globacom, a leading telecoms service provider in Nigeria, is offering Nigerian pilgrims on Hajj in Mecca data roaming packages to enable them to communicate and share their experiences with their loved ones back home. The operator has launched special data services for as low as N5/MB, with pilgrims able to purchase 3GB for N15,000 with a validity of 30 days, 1.25GB for N6,500 with 15 days’ validity, 600MB for N3,500 with 7 days’ validity and 300MB for N2,000, which carries only 3 days’ validity. These roaming packages can be bought in Nigeria, and their validity starts as soon as pilgrims land in the Holy Land. Users are in control of their data usage, with no risk of additional billing as they can only utilise the data bundle they have purchased. Globacom also ensures that customers receive consumption messages several times to allow them to track the depletion of their data. Furthermore, Nigerian travellers to Saudi Arabia can also use this data roaming service at an affordable roaming cost. Globacom has also partnered with other countries to provide smooth data roaming services to subscribers, and provide special deals for users visiting countries like the United States, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, Canada, France and Germany (among others).
