Bhopal, India – A 16-year-old girl named Vipasa Meena from Sukhi Sewaniya took her own life on Monday after failing her Class 10 MP board exams. Meena’s parents found her lying on the floor with froth coming out of her mouth after ingesting rat poison. She was quickly rushed to SB hospital in Bagh Sewaniya, where she later passed away.
Meena’s friends said that she had been struggling with depression since failing her exams. Although they were aware of her battle, they never thought it would push her to take such an extreme step.
The Sukhi Sewaniya police SHO, VVS Sengar said that this tragedy has left everyone in shock and the community is praying for Vipasa and her family. The police investigation is ongoing and they are working to find out more about her condition leading up to her suicide.
This tragedy highlights the pressure that students experience when they are trying to do well on their exams and how devastating the failure can be. It is important to remember that academic success does not define a person and that there is always another chance to succeed.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to Vipasa’s family and friends during this difficult time. May she rest in peace.
