In a tragic incident, a 19-year-old girl from Delhi was allegedly abducted and raped by her brother-in-law in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh. The accused coaxed the victim and took her along with him, tying her up for 16 days and repeatedly raping her. Upon receiving information about the missing girl, the police initiated an investigation and eventually located the victim in Meerut, rescuing her. The accused, however, remains at large and efforts are ongoing to apprehend him. The North East district police have filed an FIR and further investigation is currently underway. These incidents highlight the importance of ensuring the safety and protection of young women from such heinous crimes.
