The Cincinnati Bengals have one of the best linebacker groups in the NFL, and according to Pro Football Focus, Germaine Pratt and Logan Wilson are among the top 32 linebackers in the league. The Bengals’ defense has been solid over the last two seasons, thanks to their talented linebackers.
Pratt and Wilson both made it onto Trevor Sikkema’s list of top NFL linebackers entering next season. Pratt was ranked at number 20, and Wilson at number 24. The top three spots went to Fred Warner of the San Francisco 49ers, Lavonte David of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and Demario Davis of the New Orleans Saints. The highest-ranked AFC North backer was Roquan Smith of the Baltimore Ravens, at number five.
Pratt had a PFF grade of 80.6 last season, while Wilson’s PFF grade was 72.7. Both players only missed one game last season, with Wilson playing in 97% of the defensive snaps, and Pratt playing in 76% of them.
Pratt is already secured by the Bengals after signing a new three-year deal this offseason. The team hopes to have Wilson extended before the 2023 season, and they could accomplish that during training camp or preseason.
Bengals fans are hopeful that Pratt and Wilson will continue to lead the team’s linebacking group for years to come. With their talent and solid play, they will surely be key components in the Bengals’ defense as it looks to lead the team to future success.
