A gangster was shot dead by members of his own gang in Pune, Maharashtra on Friday. The victim, identified as Sharad Mahol, was allegedly killed over a financial dispute. The incident, which occurred on Mahol’s wedding anniversary, was captured in a viral video. In the footage, a group of men can be seen firing at Mahol at close range in a narrow lane in Pune’s Kothrud. Despite their initial attempt to drag him to safety, Mahol succumbed to his injuries at a nearby hospital. Police have launched an investigation into the matter and have arrested eight individuals involved in the crime. Three pistols, three magazines, and five cartridges were recovered in the process. It is speculated that a dispute within the gang over land and money led to the fatal shooting. The investigation is ongoing, aiming to shed light on the motive and circumstances surrounding this shocking event.
