Futureverse co-founders Shara Senderoff and Aaron McDonald have announced the launch of Born Ready, a new $50 million venture fund and studio aimed at accelerating the development and adoption of emerging technology ventures. The fund will primarily focus on companies that have the potential for strategic collaboration with Futureverse or The Root Network, a public decentralized blockchain network optimized for metaverse apps and experiences.

Born Ready has already made investments in various companies, including FCTRY Lab, a high-tech sneaker startup founded by the former head of Adidas’ Yeezy Innovation Lab. Other investments include Power’d Digital, Polemos, and Walker Labs.

Senderoff and McDonald, experienced venture capitalist-operator-entrepreneurs, co-founded Futureverse with Daniel Gillespie and Marco Brondani. Both Senderoff and McDonald have a strong background in the web3 and blockchain space, having invested in this area for over six years. Prior to Futureverse, Senderoff co-founded Raised in Space, a blockchain-focused investment fund, and led investments in over 20 early-stage blockchain startups. McDonald was the Co-Founder and Managing Director of NetX Fund, which invested in over 60 portfolio companies.

Futureverse itself is a leading AI and metaverse technology and content company, which has successfully formed strategic partnerships with global organizations and innovative individuals. These partnerships include Wimbledon, FIFA, Authentic Brands Group, Mastercard, and more.

Born Ready is set to launch accelerator programs in the near future, offering funding opportunities for visionary developers and forward-thinking leaders who are building the future of the internet.

We’re incredibly excited to officially announce our Born Ready venture fund, as we seek out visionary developers and forward-thinking leaders building the future of the internet, said Senderoff and McDonald.

This venture fund launch comes after Futureverse recently raised $54 million in a Series A funding round led by 10T Holdings, with contributions from Ripple Labs. The funds raised will further support Futureverse’s endeavors in the AI and metaverse technology space.

The emergence of Born Ready and the continuous growth of Futureverse solidify their positions as key players in the development and advancement of emerging technologies. With their extensive experience, strategic collaborations, and financial backing, they aim to shape the future of technology and contribute to the evolution of the metaverse.
