Foxtel Media has recently unveiled an exciting lineup of new and returning content for 2024, showcasing an impressive mix of homegrown and international productions. With a focus on delivering high-quality entertainment to its customers, the media company announced a range of adaptations and original series that are set to captivate audiences.

Binge, one of Foxtel Media’s platforms, will be home to several highly anticipated adaptations. These include the adaptation of Liane Moriarty’s novel The Last Anniversary, directed by John Polson and produced by Blossom Films and Made Up Stories. Another adaptation coming to Binge is the four-part miniseries Mix Tape, based on Jane Sanderson’s celebrated novel.

Amanda Laing, the chief content and commercial officer at Foxtel Group and managing director at Binge, expressed her excitement about the lineup, emphasizing the company’s commitment to bringing Australian stories to the screen. Many of these stories have gained international recognition, having been sold and screened in various markets worldwide following their premiere on Binge and Foxtel.

Laing credited the success of Foxtel and Binge to their ability to partner with leading producers and studios, ensuring an unmatched content slate. The company continues to be the preferred partner for major studios and content producers, offering a diverse selection of TV shows and movies from Australia and around the world.

Aside from the adaptations, Foxtel Media announced several other series that are set to hit Australian screens. These include the second season of The Twelve, featuring New Zealand actor Sam Neill, the original reality series Billion Dollar Playground, and True Detective: Night Country, starring Oscar-winning actress Jodie Foster. Additionally, viewers can look forward to Ryan Murphy’s Feud: Capote vs The Swans, featuring Demi Moore, Naomi Watts, and Molly Ringwald, as well as The Regime, helmed by Golden Globe and Oscar-winner Kate Winslet.

Excitingly, Foxtel Media’s upfront also revealed that Binge will release its first original feature film, How to Make Gravy. With production beginning on the Gold Coast, Queensland, this cinematic marvel is based on Paul Kelly’s iconic 1996 hit. The film follows an inmate writing a heartfelt letter to his family while they prepare for Christmas in his absence. The project brings together Australian musician Meg Washington and director Nick Waterman, and features a star-studded cast including Daniel Henshall, Hugo Weaving, Brenton Thwaites, Damon Herriman, Kate Mulvaney, and Agathe Rouselle.

In addition to its lineup of films and scripted television, Foxtel Media showcased its commitment to lifestyle and sporting programs. Viewers can look forward to the return of popular shows like Gogglebox Australia, Selling Houses Australia, and The Great Australian Bake Off. Moreover, Foxtel and Kayo Sports will be the go-to platforms for home international cricket matches for both the Australian Women’s and Men’s teams in early 2024. Other sporting events such as AFL, NRL, NBL, WNBL, Golf, Supercars, and boxing/UFC matches will also be available for fans to enjoy.

Rebecca McCloy, the executive director of commercial sport at Foxtel Group, highlighted the company’s position as the home of sport in Australia. With long-term deals secured for AFL and Cricket until 2031, and partnerships with ESPN, Matchroom, and UFC, Foxtel Media offers the most extensive sports offering in the country.
