Four people have lost their lives and seven others have been injured in a tragic bus and three-wheeler collision in Bihar’s Purnea district. The incident occurred on Saturday when a speeding bus collided head-on with a three-wheeler. Eyewitnesses reported that three individuals died on the spot, while another person succumbed to their injuries on the way to the Purnea Medical College and Hospital.
The victims were passengers in the three-wheeler, which was en route to the district court in Purnea for a court case. They were residents of Bishanpur village under Dhamdaha police station.
Dr. Varun Kumar, the superintendent of Purnea Medical College and Hospital, stated that four deceased bodies and seven injured individuals had been received. The victims suffered head injuries and are currently in critical condition, receiving treatment in the ICU.
According to an eyewitness, the bus was traveling from Purnea, while the three-wheeler was approaching from the opposite direction. The collision took place near Paror locality.
Sanjiv Jha, a local resident, recounted the tragic incident, stating that he arrived at the scene just two minutes after the accident occurred. He immediately halted another three-wheeler and rescued the injured victims, rushing them to the Purnea Medical College and Hospital. Unfortunately, three individuals had already passed away by the time he reached them.
