The town of Pipalrawan in Madhya Pradesh is set to see a major boost in development thanks to the construction of a shopping complex. Municipal council president Kavita Devnarayan Sharma laid the foundation stone for the project, which will cost Rs 56 lakh, on Wednesday. The shopping complex will be built in the location of the old municipal council office and will be comprised of 22 shops. The development is expected to increase revenue for the council, as well as stimulating infrastructure, business and the creation of new employment opportunities. The project comes as part of a wider range of infrastructure works, including repair and rejuvenation of various town wards. The construction project was attended by vice president Rajendra Nahar, councillor Devnarayan Sharma, Jitendra Kushwaha and deputy engineer Chetan Chauhan, alongside civic body workers.
