In Mhow, Madhya Pradesh, the Minister for Culture and Tourism Usha Thakur laid the foundation stone of a new railway overbridge (ROB) in Kishanganj on Thursday. When completed, this ROB will be the third bridge in Mhow in the last fifteen years. The ROB will be constructed on railway level crossing no. 258 and will be 765 metres long and 15 metres wide. The cost of the project is said to be Rs 18.35 crore and will take two years to complete.
The bridge will provide a faster and more efficient route for vehicles traveling on Mhow-Mandleshwar Road. The bridge will allow vehicles to avoid waiting at the closed level crossing for any train passing between Mhow and Indore. Manoj Jain, the engineer in-charge of MP Bridge Corporation, stated that 56 metres of the bridge would be constructed by Railways.
The laying of the foundation stone was a significant milestone for the city of Mhow. A large number of vehicles rely on the level crossing to reach their destinations, and the new bridge will provide them with a faster and safer route. BJP leader Ram Kishore Shukla and others also attended the ceremony.
The ROB is an essential infrastructure project for the city and will positively impact the daily lives of citizens, reducing travel times and increasing safety. The completion of the project in the next two years will be eagerly awaited by all those who pass through Mhow-Mandleshwar Road.
