Five Arrested in Pune for Rs 1 Crore Robbery Assisted by Fortune-Teller
In a shocking incident, five individuals have been arrested in Pune for allegedly carrying out a daring robbery worth more than Rs 1 crore. The robbery took place in Baramati, Pune district, at the residence of Sagar Gophane while he was away. The five robbers discreetly infiltrated the house, gagged his wife, and made away with a staggering amount of Rs 95 lakh in cash and Rs 11 lakh worth of jewelry.
After thorough investigation, the police identified the main culprits involved in the orchestrated scheme. The suspects, named Sachin Jagdhane, Rayba Chavan, Ravindra Bhosale, Duryodhan alias Dipak Jadhav, and Nitin More, revealed that they had consulted a fortune-teller to select a propitious moment for executing the robbery.
Among those arrested is the fortune-teller, Ramchandra Chava. He played a crucial role in assisting the gang by providing them with an auspicious time for their criminal act. So far, the police have successfully recovered Rs 76 lakh of the stolen money.
