Former Chief Minister of Jharkhand and National Vice President of BJP, Raghubar Das, recently met with President Draupadi Murmu to apprise her of the increasing corruption and deteriorating law and order situation in Jharkhand. During the meeting, Das highlighted the rise in atrocities against women and tribals in the state.

Das expressed his concerns over the worsening law and order situation, describing it as a state of anarchy. In a bid to address these issues, he also met with Union Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia to discuss the objections raised by the Forest Department regarding the construction of an airport in Dhalbhumgarh. However, Das assured Scindia that the hurdles had been addressed and that the construction work for the airport could commence soon, with the central government having already allocated Rs 100 crore for the project.

In addition to his meeting with the Union Civil Aviation Minister, Das also held discussions with Union Railway Minister Ashwani Vaishnaw. He requested an extension of the Tata-Danapur Express up to Buxar and urged railway officers to prepare a detailed project report for the construction of a new railway line from Ranchi-Jamshedpur Bhaya Kandra. The Railway Minister promptly directed the officers to take immediate action.

Furthermore, Das met with Union Minister of State for Ports, Shipping and Waterways Shantanu Thakur to discuss the second phase of the multimodal hub at Sahibganj. He emphasized the importance of starting work on the project promptly, stating that it would open the doors of development in the entire state and provide employment opportunities for all, including the Santhal community.

During these meetings, Dumka MP Sunil Soren also accompanied Raghubar Das. The ministers assured Das of positive action, indicating their willingness to address the concerns raised. Das believes that these initiatives, such as the construction of the new airport, extension of train routes, and the development of the multimodal hub, will contribute to the overall development of Jharkhand and create employment opportunities for its residents.

In sum, Raghubar Das’s meetings with the President and various Union Ministers shed light on the increasing corruption, deteriorating law and order situation, and rise in atrocities in Jharkhand. With positive responses from the ministers, it is hoped that the suggested actions will be implemented effectively, paving the way for progress and development in the state.
