India’s loss to Australia in the World Test Championship (WTC) final left fans devastated and looking for someone to blame. Some turned to former cricketer and commentator Aakash Chopra, but Chopra responded to one troll with good humor, saying, I will take it. Chopra, who recently departed Star Sports to join Jio Cinema, was blamed for India’s long-standing drought of ICC trophies by a Twitter user. Chopra went on to clarify that he was not present at the WTC final and that he had not commented on it. Despite the loss, India must put the defeat behind them swiftly and head to the West Indies for their next tour, which begins on July 12. The selectors will be looking to test new talent in preparation for the World Test Championship.
