A former Ohio teacher has been sentenced to 20 years in prison for taking upskirt videos of students. Justin Foley, a former chemistry teacher at a high school in Columbus, pleaded guilty to one count of sexually exploiting a minor and one count of child pornography. Foley used his cellphone to secretly film female students and had been doing so for several years. According to reports, investigators found over 5,000 images of child abuse and 166 voyeuristic video files on Foley’s electronic devices. Foley’s lawyer stated that his client was addicted to the thrill of making the videos and had also filmed females in department store dressing rooms and in Delaware, Ohio. Foley expressed remorse, acknowledging that he knew his actions were wrong but did not understand why he did it. The former teacher attributed aspects of his behavior to past abuse he endured during his teenage years.
