Former baseball star Fraser Michael Bohm is facing multiple charges after a fatal crash that took the lives of four Pepperdine University sorority sisters. Bohm, aged 22, is charged with four counts of murder and four counts of gross vehicular manslaughter. The incident occurred on October 17 in Malibu, California, when Bohm was driving his BMW on Pacific Coast Highway. Witnesses reported that he was speeding at 104 mph in a 45 mph zone known as Dead Man’s Curve. Bohm collided with three parked cars before crashing into the four young women near a fraternity house. The victims, identified as Niamh Rolston, Peyton Stewart, Asha Weir, and Deslyn Williams, were all sorority members at Pepperdine University. Bohm attempted to flee the scene but was apprehended by witnesses. Authorities are investigating whether alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash. Bohm was initially arrested and charged with gross vehicular manslaughter but was released due to insufficient evidence. However, after further investigation, he was rearrested and now faces the maximum charges under California law. During his court appearance, Bohm pleaded not guilty. The investigation revealed his knowledge of the danger his actions posed to human life. Bohm is currently held on $8 million bail, and his next court date is scheduled for November 1. The incident has sparked discussions about driving safety in the community, and authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward. The sheriff’s department is committed to pursuing justice for the victims’ families.
