Fisker, the renowned electric vehicle manufacturer, has unveiled its latest creation, the Rōnin Supercar. This all-electric convertible is set to revolutionize the supercar market with its superfast acceleration and exceptional cargo space.

During Fisker’s first-ever Product Vision Day on 3 August 2023, the company provided additional details about the Rōnin Supercar. Inspired by the iconic John Frankenheimer film of the same name, known for its awe-inspiring car chase scenes, the Rōnin pays homage to the legendary movie.

Reservations for the Rōnin were opened on the same day, allowing early customers to secure their spot by placing a deposit. The first reservation required a deposit of $2,000, while the second only needed a fully refundable $1,000. Priced at $385,000, the Rōnin is expected to hit the market in the second half of 2025, with only 999 vehicles being produced.

Fisker aims to offer exceptional utility in the high-end market where luxury SUVs have become increasingly popular. In response to this trend, the Rōnin is designed to accommodate five people while providing ample cargo capacity, a rare feature in the supercar world.

Equipped with an electric powertrain, the Rōnin is projected to achieve a blistering 0-60 mph time of around two seconds and a top speed of 170 mph (275 km/h). These specifications put it on par with, if not surpassing, any other supercar on the market. Additionally, the Rōnin is expected to offer a substantial driving range, emphasizing the company’s commitment to delivering both performance and practicality.

The Rōnin boasts rear butterfly doors for easy access to the rear seats. With only a single door handle needed, the front doors open electronically either by swiping the handle or through a smartphone app. When the rear doors are ready to be opened, the handle extends automatically. Moreover, all the doors can be remotely opened using a smartphone. The car’s foldable carbon-fiber hardtop is also smartphone activated, automatically retracting into the trunk and leaving space for luggage. Additional storage is available in the frunk, ensuring ample room for belongings.

Built on an aluminum space frame, the Rōnin integrates battery cells to achieve an impressive targeted range of 600 miles. The car’s carbon-fiber 23-inch wheels contribute to its lightweight construction. Inside, Fisker has prioritized sustainability by incorporating innovative recycled and eco-friendly materials, making the Rōnin potentially the most sustainable supercar in the world. The vehicle will feature a 17.1-inch high-resolution screen and an instrument cluster positioned in front of the driver for optimal visibility and control.

While the Rōnin focuses on driver enjoyment, it will also offer autonomous technologies as needed, highlighting Fisker’s commitment to blending cutting-edge features with traditional driving experiences.

With its groundbreaking design, exceptional performance, and sustainable features, the Fisker Rōnin Supercar is set to create waves in the automotive industry. Customers and enthusiasts can look forward to experiencing the perfect synergy of speed and practicality when the Rōnin hits the roads in the coming years.
