India and New Zealand have held their first Round Table Joint Meeting in Delhi to discuss further economic cooperation in areas of mutual interest. The meeting brought together industry organizations from both countries to explore opportunities for collaboration beyond free trade agreements. During the meeting, participants discussed the objectives of the Joint Trade Committee formed under the 1986 Bilateral Trade Agreement. The potential for cooperation in promoting a Unified Payment Interface, carbon credits, and sectoral arrangements for economic cooperation were also explored. Both sides emphasized the need for more government-to-industry dialogues to achieve concrete mutual benefits. The discussions highlighted the enormous potential for the India-New Zealand alliance and the importance of joint efforts.
