India, France and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) have joined forces for the first edition of a trilateral maritime exercise aimed at increasing cooperation and promoting strategic relationships. The two-day exercise will include a range of naval operations such as surface warfare and advanced air defence exercises. The Indian Navy announced that INS Tarkash and French Ship Surcouf, along with French Rafale aircraft and UAE Navy maritime patrol aircraft, will be participating in the event. The exercise will also feature cross-embarkation of personnel for an exchange of best practices. The trilateral drill will take place in the Gulf of Oman.
