Raj Kumar Kohli’s last rites: Son Armaan breaks down, Sonu Nigam pays last respects
The last rites of renowned film director Raj Kumar Kohli were performed today amidst a somber atmosphere. Kohli, who was active in the film industry from the 1970s to the early 2000s, was known for directing popular movies such as ‘Jaani Dushman’, ‘Aulad Ke Dushman’, and ‘Bees Saal Baad’.
In a heart-wrenching video shared by the entertainment portal Voompla, Kohli’s son Armaan Kohli can be seen dressed in white funeral clothes, visibly distraught. Sonu Nigam, the celebrated singer who starred in Kohli’s last directorial venture ‘Jaani Dushman: Ek Anokhi Kahani’, was also present at the funeral, providing comfort and support to Armaan during this difficult time.
Raj Kumar Kohli’s demise came as a shock to his family and the industry. According to a report by News 18, Armaan Kohli discovered his father in an unconscious state on the bathroom floor after breaking open the door. Despite immediate efforts to revive him, Kohli could not be saved, and he was pronounced dead upon arrival at the hospital. The veteran director was 93 years old at the time of his passing.
The news of Raj Kumar Kohli’s death has deeply saddened his friends and colleagues. Actor Suniel Shetty expressed his heartfelt condolences, stating, He was a lovely person, a very good-looking producer-director, and a very humble man. He will be missed because I know that people loved him. His son Armaan is a good friend of mine, so heartfelt condolences to him and the family. This is a big loss.
