Farooq Abdullah and Mehbooba Mufti to Attend Opposition Meeting in Patna

Former chief ministers of Jammu and Kashmir Farooq Abdullah and Mehbooba Mufti are set to attend an upcoming meeting of opposition parties in Patna on June 23, according to Janata Dal (United) president Rajiv Ranjan Singh. The meeting, which will see the participation of senior figures from 18 political parties, aims to create a strategy to oppose the BJP ahead of the 2024 Lok Sabha polls. Five chief ministers from Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Delhi and Tamil Nadu will also attend, along with Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge and Rahul Gandhi. Other attendees include Nationalist Congress Party chief Sharad Pawar and Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav. The meeting was originally scheduled for June 12 but was pushed back due to scheduling conflicts.
