With the latest increase, the state government will now pay Rs 6,000 to farmers, resulting in a total yearly payout of Rs 12,000. Each family will receive Rs 24,000 through the Kisan Samman Nidhi and Ladli Behna Yojna. An amendment to the Ladli Behna Yojna will now include women from families who own tractors.
Apart from the Rs 2,000 increase for farmers, Chouhan further stated that the age of beneficiaries for the Ladli Behna Yojna has been reduced from 23 to 21. Additionally, the money given to women will now be increased to Rs 3,000 per month. The Defence Minister, Rajnath Singh, praised Chouhan’s efforts ahead of the elections, commending his work and comparing him to Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Singh also highlighted the government’s efforts in supporting farmers, announcing that a total sum of Rs 6,423 crore had been transferred to farmers’ accounts under various schemes. This includes a transfer of Rs 2,123 crore to the accounts of 1.1 million farmers under Mukhya Mantri Krishak Yojna and a transfer of Rs 2,900 crore to the accounts of 44.49 lakh farmers under the Prime Minister’s crop insurance scheme. A sum of Rs 1,400 crore was also transferred to 70.61 lakh farmers under Chief Minister’s Kisan Kalyan Yojna.
Singh further emphasized India’s strength, stating that the country is no longer weak and that no power on earth dares to keep an evil eye on India. He added that India can teach a lesson to attackers, and the world was shaken by India’s decision to launch a surgical strike. The latest developments in the state have been welcomed by farmers, who feel supported and valued by the government’s initiatives.
