A farmer in Indore, Madhya Pradesh was shot at by two individuals after refusing to sell his land to one of their friends, according to authorities. The incident occurred in Chambal village under the jurisdiction of Gautampura police station on Sunday night. The victim, identified as Ishwar Giri, sustained critical injuries in the attack. Giri informed the police that he owns approximately 27 bighas of land in Nagawadi village, Ujjain district. He and his three friends had a confrontation with the accused, Mahadev, Pankaj, and Vijay, in Chambal village. The accused demanded that Giri sell his land to a person named Lokendra. When Giri declined, an argument ensued, and the accused verbally abused him. In the midst of the dispute, one of the culprits retrieved a pistol and fired at Giri, hitting his legs. Another shot was fired by a different assailant. Two of the accused have already been detained, while a search for the remaining individual is currently underway.

In a separate incident, the vice-president of the Treasure Town Residents Association in Indore was threatened by a representative of the township. The confrontation arose when the residents opposed the installation of a high-tension line above a garden within the township. The residents also accused the colonizer of constructing a road on a portion of the garden in another colony. After filing a complaint, the police have initiated an investigation into the matter. Renu Mehta Soni, the vice president of the association, and other residents lodged the complaint against Banwari Meghwal, a representative of Treasure Town Private Limited. Soni stated that the township is located in Bijalpur and that its boundary walls were broken for the development of three new colonies. Furthermore, road construction is reportedly taking place in a section of the garden designated for recreational purposes. The complainants alleged that Meghwal threatened Soni when she inquired about official permission for the road construction and plans for the power line installation above the garden. The Rajendra Nagar police station initially refused to register an FIR (First Information Report), but after the residents provided a written complaint, the case is now being further investigated by SIyaram Gurjar. Meanwhile, Soni and the residents plan to convene at the clubhouse for a discussion on the matter and are seeking a meeting with the commissioner of police.

It is vital to adhere to news guidelines and maintain a neutral tone while reporting on such incidents. Ensuring accuracy, avoiding explicit language, and refraining from promoting any individual or organization are imperative when presenting information to a global audience.
