Family of Three Killed in SUV Accident near Mahmoouda Bridge, Bihar
Three members of a family tragically lost their lives on Monday morning when the SUV they were traveling in overturned near the Mahmoouda Bridge under Khudaganj police station area in Nalanda, Bihar. The devastating incident occurred as the family was on their way to participate in the Malmas fair in Rajgir.
The deceased have been identified as Shankar Kumar and his daughter Lakshmi Kumari, both residents of the Upper Bazaar area in Ekangarsarai, as well as Radha Rani, Shankar’s mother-in-law and a resident of Daulatpur under Okari police station area in Jehanabad district. They were accompanied by six other passengers, three of whom sustained critical injuries.
According to a police officer, the SUV driver also suffered injuries and was referred to PMCH (Patna Medical College and Hospital) after receiving first aid at Khudaganj Primary Health Center. Investigations revealed that the accident occurred when the driver lost control of the vehicle while attempting to avoid a speeding motorbike coming from the opposite direction.
Khudaganj police station SHO Babban Ram promptly arrived at the scene upon receiving information about the incident. He swiftly arranged for the critically injured individuals to be transported to VIMS Pawapuri for urgent medical treatment. The bodies of the deceased were taken to Biharsharif Sadar hospital for postmortem examination.
This devastating accident has left the entire community in shock and mourning. Shankar Kumar and his family were eagerly looking forward to participating in the Malmas fair, an event filled with joy and celebration. Instead, their lives were cut short in a tragic turn of events.
