The Billiards and Snooker Federation of India (BSFI) will participate in the forthcoming National games in Goa after the Indian Olympic Association (IOA) authorized their participation. The federation was denied participation in the National games last year due to internal conflicts within the IOA, but BSFI President Rajan Khinvasara and Sunil Bajaj, General Secretary, pursued the matter in the Supreme Court against IOA. Khinvasara has dedicated his life to promoting and nurturing the game of cue sport through hosting numerous tournaments at local, state, national, Asian and world levels. He believes in the potential of the sport and the talent of Indian players, hoping one day it will be part of school and college curricula and even the Olympics. India has a rich history with cue sports and notable players such as Padmashri Pankaj Advani, Sir. Wilson Jones, Geet Sethi, and others have paved the way for Indian cue sports at the international level.
