The Board of Secondary Education (BSE) in Odisha has announced some insightful changes to the Class X examination pattern. BSE President Ramasish Hazra declared that the earlier two summative examinations for students of Class X will be replaced by one yearly exam. The grading process will remain unchanged and assessments will be taken throughout the four quarters of the academic year. BSE has also introduced a new half-yearly examination to be conducted in all schools with question papers supplied by BSE itself. This ensures that all students will still be assessed and it reduces the burden on students.
BSE is a renowned educational institution in Odisha which has a rich history of providing quality education to students since its inception in 1955. It has since been the arbiter of all education related issues, providing an open platform for discussion and sharing of diverse ideas. BSE also ensures that all minor and major paper related works are processed within the stipulated time frame and the results do not take any unduly long period of time. Hazra has been the President of BSE since 2017 and due to his innovative approach, BSE has made multiple strides in providing quality education with relevant changes to curriculum and examination pattern.
The form fillup process for supplementary examination this year will begin on May 26 and end on June 2, 2023. Examination for those who have failed this year will take place from July 3 to 8, 2023. With this new examination pattern, which is more student-friendly, BSE has taken yet another step towards providing better education for students.
