Workers and activists across Europe are planning protests against Amazon on Black Friday, targeting the company’s warehouses and parcel lockers in a bid to disrupt its operations on one of the busiest shopping days of the year. The demonstrations are aimed at demanding better working conditions and collective wage agreements. In Germany, workers at five fulfillment centers will go on strike, while more than 1,000 workers in Coventry, England, plan to strike in a long-running pay dispute. In France, activists are encouraged to plaster Amazon lockers with posters and ticker tape, potentially blocking access for delivery workers and customers. The protests are part of a global campaign coordinated by UNI Global Union, with strikes and demonstrations planned in over 30 countries. Despite these actions, Amazon officials maintain that deliveries will be reliable and timely, and that the strikes will not cause any disruptions.
