Another batch of newly unsealed court documents tied to Jeffrey Epstein were released Tuesday afternoon — adding to the deluge of information about the late pedophile’s sick crimes that has been trickling out since last week. The documents add to the thousands of pages of already-released files that have dredged up a renewed scrutiny on how the sex offender leveraged his connections to the rich and powerful to ensnare girls and young women in his web and shield himself from scrutiny.
The cache of 240 documents, which began being released last week, are part of the long-settled defamation lawsuit Epstein accuser Virginia Roberts Giuffre brought against the financier’s madam Ghislaine Maxwell back in 2015.
A number of high-profile names — ranging from ex-presidents Donald Trump and Bill Clinton to Prince Andrew and a bevy of Hollywood stars — have been scattered throughout the deposition transcripts, legal memos, emails, and other records tied to the case.
On Monday, newly unsealed emails from 2016 disclosed that an Epstein accuser had once claimed Trump allegedly had sexual relations with one of her unnamed friends at the late pedophile’s New York home on regular occasions.
Sarah Ransome also claimed in the emails to then-New York Post columnist Maureen Callahan that she had copies of tapes Epstein had made of Trump, Clinton, Prince Andrew, and British business magnate Richard Branson allegedly having sex with an unnamed woman.
Ransome later walked back the salacious allegations in an Oct. 23, 2016 email with Callahan.
Meanwhile, a batch of photos showing girls and young women posing on Epstein’s private Caribbean island also emerged on Monday.
Several of the images, which were provided by Ransome, show her and other girls hugging each other as they flashed a smile for the camera.
There were several photos of Maxwell, who was dubbed a mama bear by Ransome, lounging on a chair with her feet resting on a dining table.
