Elon Musk Gives Profanity-Laden Tirade During DealBook Interview: Go F— Yourself”

Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, has once again made headlines for his fiery and controversial remarks. During a live interview at the 2023 DealBook Summit in New York, Musk unleashed a profanity-laden tirade in response to the mass exodus of big-name advertisers from X (formerly known as Twitter) due to antisemitic content on the platform.

In a discussion with journalist Andrew Ross Sorkin, Musk addressed the issue of advertisers trying to blackmail him with their support. He passionately exclaimed, Go f— yourself. Go. F—. Yourself. Is that clear?

Known for his outspoken nature, Musk made it known that he has no qualms about being hated and urged businesses and leaders who choose to distance themselves from him to continue their disapproval.

Notably, prominent companies such as Disney, Comcast, Warner Bros. Discovery, and NBCUniversal have recently withdrawn their advertising on X. Musk even named Disney’s CEO Bob Iger in his rant, targeting him specifically.

Following Musk’s remarks, X CEO Linda Yaccarino, who previously held the position of chairman of global advertising & partnerships at NBCUniversal, disclosed that Musk had offered an apology for a controversial post that had caused the uproar. She deemed the post one of the most foolish things Musk had done on the platform and shed light on his motivations behind his harsh stance.

Amidst the controversy, Yaccarino took to social media to express her support for the X community and highlight their commitment to free speech. She thanked partners who believe in their work and reassured them of their valuable place within the X platform.

Musk’s outburst occurs just days after his visit to Israel, where he met with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and President Isaac Herzog. During his trip, Musk visited a Kibbutz targeted by Hamas, showcasing his solidarity with the affected community.

Elon Musk’s bold and unfiltered comments have become a trademark of his public persona. However, his recent profanity-laden tirade during the DealBook interview has raised eyebrows, especially given the sensitive nature of the topic surrounding X’s advertiser exodus. As businesses continue to navigate the fine line between supporting free speech and distancing themselves from controversial content, it remains to be seen how this clash will impact Musk and his ventures.

In the ever-evolving world of tech and business, the billionaire CEO continues to captivate audiences with his unapologetic attitude. Love him or hate him, Elon Musk pushes boundaries and keeps us all on our toes.
