Elon Musk and Grimes have announced the arrival of their third child, Tau Techno Mechanicus, according to reports. The Tesla CEO confirmed the news in response to a post from entertainment outlet Pop Base. While the date of birth and gender were not revealed, Musk clarified that the child’s name begins with the letter Tau.
Despite their breakup in September 2021, Grimes, whose real name is Clair Boucher, referred to their relationship as very fluid. Musk explained that their separation was due to work commitments, with Musk primarily residing in Texas or traveling overseas for his roles at SpaceX and Tesla, while Grimes is based in Los Angeles. However, Musk mentioned that Grimes is currently staying with him, and their second child, nicknamed X or X Æ A-Xii, is in the adjacent room.
Their first child together, X Æ A-Xii, was born in May 2020. The couple also welcomed their second child, Exa Dark Sidreæl, nicknamed Y, in December 2021 via surrogate. The birth of Exa was revealed when Vanity Fair writer Devin Gordon heard a baby crying. A biography of Musk by Walter Isaacson also mentioned the birth of their baby, noting the nickname Tau.
Musk has had a total of nine children, including the three with Grimes. He shares triplets with his former wife, Justine Wilson, and twins with Neuralink executive Shivon Zilis. Unfortunately, Musk and Wilson also faced the tragic loss of their child, Nevada Musk, who passed away from sudden infant death syndrome at 10 weeks old in 2002.
The news of Elon Musk and Grimes welcoming their third child has garnered significant attention. Fans and the public are eagerly awaiting further details about the newest addition to their family.
