An 80-year-old woman was assaulted during an aggravated burglary in Alice Springs, which resulted in the arrest of three male youths by the Northern Territory Police. The incident occurred at around 1:20 am when the police received reports of the three youths unlawfully entering a residence on Telegraph Terrace. According to reports, the youths stole several small items before encountering the elderly resident. Shockingly, one of the youths threw a rock at the woman, striking her in the face, before all the offenders fled the scene. The victim was immediately taken to the Alice Springs Hospital for necessary medical treatment. In response to the incident, officers from Strike Force Viper, Operation Drina, and the Drone Unit were swiftly deployed to the area. As a result of their efforts, they managed to locate three males, aged 11, 13, and 13, nearby. Currently, both 13-year-old suspects remain in custody and are expected to face charges later today. The 11-year-old suspect was safely handed over to a responsible adult, with the Department of Territory Families, Housing, and Communities being notified and involved in the case.
