In a tragic incident in Uttar Pradesh’s Ballia district, a 78-year-old man was killed during a scuffle with his sons over property division. The incident occurred in the Sahatwar area of the district and has left the entire community in shock.
According to the police, the scuffle broke out between Moti Chand and his two sons on Sunday. The altercation escalated as the siblings couldn’t agree on how to divide their property. The situation turned violent, resulting in Moti Chand sustaining serious injuries.
He was immediately rushed to a government hospital nearby but due to the severity of his injuries, he was referred to the district hospital. Tragically, Moti Chand succumbed to his injuries and passed away on Sunday.
The authorities have booked the deceased’s two sons, Bablu Ram and Amar Ram, along with their wives, Shivkumari Devi and Neetu Devi, in connection with the incident. However, all four individuals are currently on the run and the police are intensifying their efforts to apprehend them.
The body of Moti Chand has been sent for post-mortem examination to determine the exact cause of death. Additional Superintendent of Police, Durga Prasad Tiwari, has assured that the investigation is ongoing and they are committed to bringing the culprits to justice.
