Edmonton Police Seek Suspect in Sexual Assault of 11-Year-Old Girl
Edmonton police are currently searching for a suspect in the reported sexual assault of an 11-year-old girl in southeast Edmonton this week. The incident occurred in the Fountain Lake neighborhood near 43 Avenue and 33 Street between 3 p.m. and 4 p.m. on Tuesday afternoon. Described as a male between the ages of 25 and 35 years old, with a brown or tanned complexion, the suspect stands approximately 5’9 or 5’10 tall. He has dark, prickly hair and a small patch of facial hair under his bottom lip. At the time of the attack, he was wearing a black shirt, dark grey pants, and white sneakers.
The Child Protection Section has taken over the investigation, and the victim is currently receiving support from the Zebra Child Protection Centre. Edmonton police are urging residents in the Fountain Lake and Larkspur area to review their home and business surveillance footage for any possible images of the suspect vehicle in the vicinity between 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. on Tuesday, September 19.
