The East Coast Railway (ECoR) aims to complete the 73km-long Sonepur-Purunakatak section of the Khurda Road-Balangir newline project by the end of this year, according to ECoR General Manager Manoj Sharma. During an inspection of the project, Sharma reviewed the safety measures, passenger amenities, and ongoing infrastructure works between Khurda Road and Daspalla section of the 301km-long Khurda Road-Balangir newline project. The completion of this section will bring the project one step closer to its overall goal.
Sharma expressed confidence in meeting the deadline, stating, We are working diligently to ensure the timely completion of the Sonepur-Purunakatak section.
