Over €900,000 in equipment-only grants will be allocated to sporting organisations across Meath. The Minister for Sport, Physical Education, and the Gaeltacht and local TD, Thomas Byrne, has confirmed that sporting organizations across Meath will benefit from over €900,000 in equipment-only grants under his Department’s Sports Capital and Equipment Programme. €26 million in equipment-only grants under the Sports Capital and Equipment Programme will be allocated nationwide. County Louth will receive €512,753. The allocations announced by Minister Byrne today under the Sports Capital and Equipment Programme are in response to equipment-only applications which were submitted to his Department. Further allocations under the Sports Capital and Equipment Programme, including those for capital works, and capital works tied with an equipment component, will be announced later. Minister Byrne commented, I am delighted to see a diverse range of sports clubs and organizations in Meath benefit from this record-level of sports equipment funding.
